Urgent Aircon Servicing in Singapore, Booked Today

Some servicing cannot wait three weeks. Your in-laws land tomorrow. You collected resale keys yesterday and the filter is black. The baby comes home on Friday.

The unit still cools. That is what separates this from a repair. It is a cleaning job that became urgent for a reason that has nothing to do with the aircon.

We take same-day servicing bookings across Singapore, with no travel surcharge.

The calls we take every week

Family arriving in a day or two. The aircon has not been touched in eight months and the guest room smells musty.

Resale or rental keys just collected. Years without proper servicing. Black filter, algae in the drain pan, and nobody wants to sleep under it.

Newborn coming home. Discharge in two days and a clean, mould-free unit over the cot is not negotiable.

A smell that keeps coming back. The unit cools fine, but every time it starts the room smells sour. That is growth on a wet coil.

Rental handover tomorrow. The agent wants photo evidence of servicing before the inventory check and the deposit release.

Before a long trip. A damp, dirty coil sitting unused in a closed flat for two weeks grows things.

MCST inspection scheduled. Management is checking ledge units block by block.

Work out what you need before you call

Two minutes of looking gets you an accurate quote on the phone instead of a technician guessing on site.

The smell test. Run it and stand under it for thirty seconds. A faint dusty smell that clears is normal and general servicing handles it. A sour, wet-cloth smell that returns every single time is growth on the coil, and that needs a chemical wash at minimum.

The light test. Open the front flap and shine a phone torch at the aluminium fins. You should see gaps between them. If it looks like a solid grey wall, the coil is packed and general servicing will not reach it.

The drain test. Look where the drain pipe leaves the unit. Damp trunking or a stain on the wall below means the line is partly blocked.

The age question. If nobody has chemically washed it in over two years, assume a wash regardless of how it looks.

Still unsure, say so when you book. The technician comes with both the general servicing kit and the chemical wash equipment, inspects, quotes on the spot, and only proceeds once you agree.

What each service involves

General servicing

  • All air filters washed
  • Drainage pipes cleared
  • Blower fan operation checked
  • Blower fans cleaned
  • Light surface dust removed from the cooling coil
  • Fan motors and blower fans checked for condition
  • Cooling operation and temperature checked

This is maintenance, not rescue. It keeps a healthy unit healthy. If the coil is already packed, general servicing will not fix it and we will tell you that on site rather than take the money and leave you with the same problem.

Chemical wash

Chemicals are applied to break down what has bonded onto the coil, the drain pan and the blower wheel, which is beyond what water and a brush will shift.

This is the right service when general servicing has stopped fixing the smell or the weak cooling.

Chemical overhaul

The unit comes off the wall and every part is washed with chemical individually.

It is the only service that reliably fixes several things at once: foul smell, leaking, weak cooling, noise, and uneven airflow. Because the unit runs against less resistance afterwards, it also brings the running cost down.

Chemical overhaul carries a three-month workmanship warranty.

Gas top-up with pressure testing, two days

Read this bit before you accept a cheap gas top-up from anyone.

Refrigerant is not fuel. A sealed system does not consume it. If your level is low, it escaped, and topping up without finding out where sends the same money out of the same hole again.

Our procedure runs across two days, roughly two hours each day with two technicians. We pressurise the system and leave it held overnight, then return and read it again. A slow leak will not reveal itself in twenty minutes. It reveals itself after sixteen hours under pressure.

If the system holds, we top up and you are done. If it does not, we show you the reading and quote the repair.

Five real jobs

Anonymised, from our own records. Note what four of the five turned out to be.

Not cooling properly. The unit ran but the room stayed warm. Filters and indoor unit were heavily covered in dust and dirt. We cleaned the filters, indoor unit, fan and surrounding components, then confirmed correct operation. The customer had spent several days in a hot room.

Water on the floor. The drain pipe was partly blocked and the indoor unit was very dirty. We cleaned the unit, cleared the pipe, and checked the drainage was flowing. The customer had been mopping up repeatedly and was worried about the flooring.

Bad smell on start-up. A significant build-up of dust and mould around the filters, indoor unit and fan. We deep-cleaned all three and tested it afterwards. The smell had been stopping them using the aircon at night.

Weak airflow, slow cooling. Filters heavily blocked, with a large amount of dirt on the indoor coil and fan restricting airflow. We deep-cleaned the filters, coil and fan and tested airflow afterwards. They had been running the unit far longer than necessary and paying for it.

Leaks that kept coming back. The customer had cleaned the unit several times themselves and it still leaked during long runs. The indoor coil was heavily contaminated and the drainage partly blocked, so water was collecting inside the unit rather than draining. We dismantled what was needed, cleaned the coil properly, flushed the drain, then ran the unit for an extended period to confirm. They had been living with towels under it.

Four of those five were dirt. Not gas, not a failed part, not a unit at the end of its life. That ratio is the single most useful thing we can tell you about aircon problems in Singapore.

Do not book a chemical wash the day your guests arrive

This costs us bookings and we would rather say it.

A chemical wash is wet work. Chemicals go on the coil, the drain pan comes out, water runs, and for a few hours afterwards there is a faint chemical smell while the coil dries out.

Book it two days ahead of the guests, not two hours. If you are down to the last day, a general service gets you a clean filter and a clear drain without the smell, and you book the wash properly the following week.

The exception is the newborn case. Then we want three days, so the room airs out completely before mother and baby come home.

Coverage and booking

Islandwide, with no travel surcharge. Wherever you are, the price is the same.

Book as early in the day as you can. Same-day slots fill from the morning, and a call at 4pm is realistically a next-morning job.

Call or WhatsApp: 96440652 or 96540044 Email: vedha.airconservices@gmail.com

Tell us three things and we can quote and book in one call:

  1. Postal code
  2. How many fan coils, and what brand
  3. Which service, or “not sure, please assess”

Three things that speed up the visit

Someone over 18 at home for the whole visit.

About 1.5 metres clear around each indoor unit. Chemical wash drips and the drain pan needs floor space beneath it. This saves roughly fifteen minutes a room.

The DB box reachable. We isolate power before touching anything. If it is behind a wardrobe, everything takes longer.

On quoted prices

The most common complaint Singaporeans post about aircon servicing is being quoted one number on the phone and billed another at the door, with transport and GST added afterwards.

Ask us for the all-in figure including GST before we come, and hold us to it. Any company that will not give you that number on the phone is telling you something about the bill you are going to get.

Questions

My aircon has stopped cooling completely. Is this the right page?
No. That is a repair. Different work, different pricing, and it is handled on our emergency and same-day repair page.

Which brands?
Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Toshiba, Sanyo, Samsung, LG, Midea, Gree, Sharp, Haier, Carrier, York and Europace. Brand-specific parts are typically one to two working days.

Do I get anything in writing?
Yes. A written report and an invoice breakdown after every job.

What warranty applies?
Chemical overhaul carries three months on workmanship. Replacement parts carry one year. Compressors carry five years.

How do I pay?
Cash, bank transfer or PayNow. No deposit for servicing and cleaning work. Installation jobs need a deposit before we order equipment.
