Drier than the east coast. The west side of Singapore typically sees less rainfall during the northeast monsoon than Tampines or Bedok. That means slightly less mould growth inside aircon units, but it also means more dust accumulates between rains.

More wind-blown debris. Open green spaces and the elevated terrain mean outdoor units catch more leaves, pollen, seed pods and small twigs than units in built-up coastal towns. Always worth a thorough outdoor clean during servicing.
